Dental Care

Picture
Regular professional cleaning is important to maintaining your pet's teeth. Studies show that up to 70-80% of cats and dogs over the age of 3 have some signs of dental disease.  The signs include bad breath, a sore mouth, difficulty eating, bleeding gums, and infections.

To clean you pet's teeth we use a modern and safe ultrasound to clean each tooth thoroughly - above and below the gum line. We remove the plaque and tartar, then polish and seal the teeth.  This procedure is done using general anesthesia.

Surgery

Picture
We offer the most advanced surgical techniques and technology. All patients are carefully screened for safety, and anesthetics are specifically tailored to your pet. Surgical services and facilities include: board certified surgeon available for consultation; fully trained veterinary and technical staff to ensure the safest, most efficient, state-of-the-art procedures for your pet; sterilized surgical packs, and a pulse oximeter to monitor your pet's vital signs during surgery.

Pets need to have an empty stomach prior to surgery.  Food and water should be withheld approximately 12 hours prior to the procedure.

Some procedures we offer are spaying, neutering, declawing cats under 1 year of age, lump and tumor removals.

Before any surgery, we do require pre-anesthetic bloods tests.  This may include a CBC, chemistry profile, Heartworm test or Feline Leukemia test.  All of these tests are run in our in-house laboratory the day of surgery.

It is our intention to provide the best possible care for your pet and to ensure that they have an uncomplicated surgical procedure.  We know that your pet is an important family member, and our job is to ensure their health.

Laser Surgery

Lasers are a minimally invasive alternative to traditional surgery. Lasers replace scalpels in many procedures, and are useful for a wide range of conditions, such as cyst, tumor, and wart removal, and can even be used in declawing. Laser procedures result in less pain; less bleeding and less swelling. They reduce risk of infection and result in less post-operative discomfort.
